Raag Asavari Sudhang Composition
Raag Asavari Sudhang is a Mishrat (variation) Raag of Raag Asavari. As the thirteenth Mishrat Raag in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, this raag's Thaat is Raag Bhairvi, and is also known as Komal Rishabh Asavari because of the unique change from Shudh Re to Re Komal. Raag Asavari Sudhang’s Jaati is Aurav-Sampooran, meaning that there are five notes in the ascending order (Aroh) and all seven notes in the descending order (Avroh) of the scale. Asavari Sudhang is sung during the second quarter of the day, between the time of 9 - 12 AM.
