at Gurmat Sangeet
The Gurmat Sangeet Research Internship is an eight-week summer program where passionate students dive into the musical (sangeet) dimension of the Guru's teachings (gurmat) as expressed in Sikhi.
Through weekly lectures, curated assignments, and guided research, interns develop scholarly depth — exploring raag theory, laya, tanti saaj, and the rich tradition embedded in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Submit your application through our Google Form — share your background, passion for Gurmat Sangeet, and what you hope to contribute. Takes 10–15 minutes.
Engage with weekly lectures and curated assignments. Explore raag theory, tanti saaj, sur and laya — deepening your scholarly understanding of Gurmat Sangeet.
Top performers receive a certificate and a $1,000 scholarship. Your research is published and contributes to the preservation of this sacred tradition.
